System of Patient Appointment Management

The System of Patient Appointment Management (IPR IS) is an Information System of Patient Appointment Management, a part of the eHealth platform, which enables automation of appointment management processes for both patients and health professionals, including proper patient identification.

Appointment management is performed remotely and is faster than other available means, such as by booking appointment by telephone or in person at a healthcare facility. The aim is to ensure that the IPR system is used by as many healthcare institutions and patients as possible.

The IPR IS allows patients to perform the following actions remotely:

• Find all appointments with doctors in one place
• Book an appointment slot 
• Receive notifications and reminders of scheduled appointments to the doctor 
• Cancel an appointment to the doctor
• View history of all planned and completed appointments online. 

The IPR IS helps to equally distribute patients between medical institutions and health professionals, whereas patients can see the actual availability of doctors and can choose a medical institution where they can make appointment with a doctor more quickly.

The system reminds the patient of their upcoming appointment. If patients arrive on time for their appointment, more patients can be served by medical institutions, and patients avoid waiting in queues.

The IPR IS is linked to the eHealth system, making it easier for patients to book appointment for the services requiring e-referrals, and for parents to book appointment easily and conveniently for their children with health professionals.
